OUR PROGRAM
Bozeman Creative Learning Center serves students from Kindergarten through 8th grade in a mixed-age classroom. Our program is split between an Elementary program (K-5) and Middle School program (6-8). Our unique program allows children to progress at their own pace while gaining valuable experience collaborating with peers.

For a variety of lessons and activities, additional separation among grades takes place as needed, depending on subject matter and individual student abilities. This provides older students the opportunity to dive deeper into content.
ACADEMICS
Our mornings are reserved for a highly individualized work period that allows each child to deeply engage and challenge themselves in language and math. Through individual and small group lessons, we are able to meet each child where they are in their academic journey.
CULTURAL
Our afternoons are reserved for cultural studies and take a comprehensive approach to science, social studies, art, etc. We work through multi-week units that blend various academic areas for an immersive experience.
Students work together as a class or in small groups gaining cooperation and collaboration skills; pooling their strengths to work together on projects and tasks.
SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL
We believe children learn best when they are happy, comfortable, and feel welcome. We spend time ensuring we are meeting the social and emotional needs of each child and our school community.
We start each day with a group activity that helps ease the transition into the classroom, and have engaging group discussions where students share their opinions and perspectives.
Our class constitution encourages each child to respect their classroom and one another.
We encourage students to be respectful of everyone's thoughts and opinions through open and honest conversations.
We resolve classroom disagreements through mediation and discussions that recognize each individuals contribution to the situation.
We work hard to lay a foundation of understanding and collaboration that will guide our students through life.
BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
We find great value in taking our learning and experiences outside of the classroom. While most of our lessons and activities are hands-on and immersive, Fridays are reserved for more focused field trips, outings, experiments and more. Field trips may be anything from museums and art studios to cross country skiing and hiking. We  encourage our students to step our of their comfort zone and try new things.
